5 Ways To “Ignore” Your Pregnancy Symptoms

2019 will start with our incoming 3rd son in late Jan-Early Feb. Alhamdulillah, all praises to Allah that we were blessed with our beautiful babies. Our first born name is Aydeen Muhammad. Second born is Raees Zaydan. The third one…. Wait for it… 😊

What I want to share today is how “ignorant” we were as parents when we kinda realize that my wife is pregnant our 3rd baby.  😉

1.Use Your Imbalance Hormone as Excuse For Late Period

When Ili was late for her period last May, she didn’t mention anything. She just says that “oh, I think its my hormone imbalance since I stop breastfeeding”. For me, I was like “you sure its your hormone?”. I mean, how does hormone works? Do they come and go as they like? Does really stop breastfeeding will cause hormone imbalance. Well, I was about to “google” about it when suddenly I felt asleep. (Kidding… I wasn’t even about to google it. I was watching Narcos 😉)

Hey, it worked for us. We didn’t even care to do a pregnancy test because of “hormone imbalance”. Konon-nyer la kan.

2.Cramping is due to the bed

You know, from your Week 1 to Week 4, the fertilized egg creates a blastocyst (a fluid-filled group of cells) that will develop into the baby’s organs and body part. So, its normal that your stomach feels the cramp. But how do we avoid this feeling? Easy, just blame it on your bed.

3.My Other Babies Are The Ones That Cause The Fatigue

When you have more than 1 babies, it’s easy to blame it on your other babies when your body feels fatigue. Handling 1 baby is tough. Handling 2 at the same time is hardwork. Now, we’re about to handle 3 babies at the same time. I think Ili could win the next Reebok’s Spartan Race is she could participate. 😊 Fatigue is an early sign of pregnancy. So, if you have it… you might want to check it out.

4.Moody Is Due To Work Stress

During pregnancy, estrogen and progesterone level will be high. This usually will affect women’s mood and make them emotional. How do we ignore this? Easy, blame it on the work stress. For us who are running a cosmetics company, we just blame everything on work. Gaduh terus. Never realized that Ili’s pregnant.  LOL! Anyway for guys, not a good idea. Trust me. You should know if your women is moody because of work… or she’s moody because of pregnancy.

5.Diet or Loose Weight

Last May, we were into this Tabata Workout thing that we do together every morning. The target is to be in shape again. Because we want to be in the magazine again to promote our products. Guess what?? NOT HAPPENING MY FRIEND. We did lose few KGs when we first start the training. But after few months, the scale goes up again. Interesting facts about weight gain during pregnancy:

  • If you’re Under Weight, your weight should increase between 12 KG to 18 KG.
  • If you’re Normal Weight, your weight should increase between 11KG to 15KG.
  • If you’re Over Weight, your weight should increase between 6KG to 11KG.

We only found out that Ili’s pregnant when she’s already in her 2nd trimester. It’s like… only half way to go. We couldn’t even get the right EDD based on the last menstrual period because we tend to “ignore” the symptoms. So, yeah. Hope none of you guys can relate this. 😊
